First-Time Home Buyer Incentive (Ended March 2024)
This program has ended
The federal First-Time Home Buyer Incentive (FTHBI) stopped accepting applications on March 21, 2024, and the program officially ended on March 31, 2024. It is no longer possible to apply, so this estimator no longer calculates a benefit amount.
If you bought a home through the program before it ended, your shared-equity agreement still applies — you repay the incentive when you sell the home or after 25 years, whichever comes first.
